We generally recommend purchasing via PayPal! The shipping route from China to Europe / Germany is long and something unforeseen can always happen along the way. If, in exceptional cases, a package disappears or the product arrives with (transport) damage, then you are on the safe side thanks to the 180-day PayPal buyer protection .

Not all that glitters is gold and Chinese online shops in particular still have to catch up in terms of customer friendliness and service . Nevertheless, you should always approach ratings and reviews on the Internet with healthy skepticism. Positive buyers rarely share their opinions online and so you generally find more negative than positive feedback about the shops.
Shipping time & availability
Standard shipping from China usually takes 20 to 30 days. Furthermore, the China shops often need a few additional days before shipping takes place. In addition, the Chinese shops often do not take the information about their own availability in the warehouse and state in the small print that it can be delivered within XY hours or only on a certain date in the future, although it is suggested that the item is in stock.
Customs clearance
Basically, you have to plan for and add the import sales tax of 19% when buying in other EU countries with a value of goods (purchase price + shipping costs) of more than €22. If the value of goods exceeds €150, there may be additional customs duties, which are calculated based on the category of the product (e.g. smartphones and tablets do not require any additional customs duties).
